What is Buencafé?

Buencafé is the company of Colombian coffee growers—a brand that represents innovation in the coffee industry and a global leader in the production and commercialization of 100% Colombian freeze-dried coffee.

Through a refined freeze-drying process, it preserves the coffee’s aroma, flavor, and quality, keeping intact the essence of beans grown in the country’s mountains.

This process not only allows high-quality coffee to reach more places around the world, but also strengthens the Colombian coffee value chain, directly benefiting coffee growers, as 100% of Buencafé’s profits are reinvested in them.

This creates a sustainable model in which innovation, research, and good agricultural practices are constant. Here are their reflections after visiting our facilities in Chinchiná, Caldas.

The voice of coffee growers after visiting Buencafé’s facilities

Sandra Quiroga, a coffee grower from the village of El Cairo in the municipality of Génova, Quindío, says:

“Visiting Buencafé becomes a truly important learning experience. I was completely unaware of the process carried out here with coffee, and I see that everything is fully utilized. What I personally take away is that all of this is aimed at enhancing the coffee’s flavor for different palates.”

Among other things, she also emphasized the importance of involving younger generations in the world of coffee so that this tradition continues and 100% Colombian coffee remains globally sought after.

Along the same lines, Laura Velasco, a coffee grower from Montenegro, also in Quindío, believes that young people must not allow our heritage and global symbol—coffee—to be lost. On the contrary, we must elevate our culture and identity.

“It is a source of pride to see how Buencafé values not only the buying and selling process, but also the harvesting and everything behind it.”

For Euclides Tirida Plata, a coffee grower from the village of Juan Curí in the municipality of El Páramo, Santander, it brings peace of mind to sow, care for, and harvest knowing that:

“Buencafé is a company that takes and elevates the coffee we harvest with our own hands—those of our children and our families—to the international stage.”
