Buencafé Inaugurates Its New Integrated Logistics Center (CLIB)

To continue adding value to the work of Colombian coffee growers and strengthening their export capacity, Buencafé recently inaugurated its new Integrated Logistics Center (CLIB).

Buencafé continues to innovate to bring the best 100% Colombian freeze-dried coffee to more and more homes around the world. Today, we celebrate an important milestone for the company of Colombian coffee growers: the inauguration of our Integrated Logistics Center – CLIB, designed to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness across our operations.

Capacity and Technology at the Service of Coffee

The Buencafé Integrated Logistics Center features a 5,281 m² warehouse with a height of 13 meters and a storage capacity for 4,304 pallets. This translates into more efficient inventory management and faster distribution processes. In addition, the center is equipped with 8 loading docks that optimize logistics and facilitate the outbound flow of coffee to its destinations. With this new infrastructure, Buencafé aims to deliver 100% Colombian freeze-dried coffee to more than 60 countries.

Greater Efficiency, Safety, and Sustainability

The CLIB also includes a 12,000 m² maneuvering yard, which improves the mobility of cargo vehicles and contributes to road safety, ensuring smooth and reliable operations.

Sustainability is a key pillar: the center is equipped with 67.5 kWp photovoltaic solar panels, capable of supplying energy to the warehouses, offices, and outdoor lighting. With this investment in clean energy, Buencafé reaffirms its commitment to environmental protection and reducing its ecological footprint.

Additionally, the facility’s design and construction were carried out under the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, which led to obtaining the LEED BD+C Silver Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) in February 2025. This recognition highlights the sustainable practices the company adopts to reduce its carbon emissions.

A Center to Go Further, Faster

The new Buencafé Integrated Logistics Center features acceleration and deceleration lanes that connect directly to the Coffee Highway (Autopista del Café), one of the most important road corridors in Colombia’s Coffee Region. This connection helps ensure shorter transit times and greater safety in shipments—essential to guarantee that every cup of 100% Colombian freeze-dried coffee reaches consumers’ tables worldwide.

More than just a distribution center, for Buencafé this project represents the vision, teamwork, and determination of everyone involved in the coffee value chain—those who have always believed in going further for the development of Colombian coffee growing. It embodies the collective effort that turned blueprints into the driving force behind our logistics, response times, and competitiveness.

Words from Our General Manager

At the inauguration of the CLIB, Mauricio Trujillo Díaz, General Manager of Buencafé, stated:

“With this Logistics Center, we reaffirm our purpose of continuing to boost Colombian coffee growing through innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. This project is a strategic investment that strengthens our international presence and allows us to keep sharing the flavor and quality of Colombian coffee with the world.”

The opening of the Buencafé Integrated Logistics Center consolidates our leadership as a benchmark in innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness, bringing 100% Colombian freeze-dried coffee to the highest global standards of logistics and environmental excellence.
