az\u00facar, tabaco, algod\u00f3n, banano, arroz, nada representa tanto a Colombia de cara al exterior como lo hace el caf\u00e9. \u00bfC\u00f3mo un grano que no es end\u00e9mico de un pa\u00eds lleg\u00f3 a convertirse en un s\u00f3lido s\u00edmbolo de su cultura?<\/p><\/blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La respuesta a este interrogante podr\u00eda no estar en el caf\u00e9, sino en los colombianos. Si bien el caf\u00e9 no siempre creci\u00f3 en este territorio, s\u00ed apareci\u00f3 en un momento en el que muchos aspectos de la colombianidad estaban a\u00fan en construcci\u00f3n. Cuando los primeros granos llegaron a Am\u00e9rica desde Etiop\u00eda, pasando por Arabia y Europa, encontraron en Colombia un territorio ideal para echar ra\u00edces y ese es probablemente el primer aliciente de esta relaci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Un pais de monta\u00f1as<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Colombia no tiene extensas llanuras agr\u00edcolas, pero s\u00ed much\u00edsimas monta\u00f1as y el caf\u00e9 ama precisamente eso: alturas medias, temperaturas templadas, lluvias frecuentes, suelos volc\u00e1nicos y largas pendientes. Es como si Colombia estuviera dise\u00f1ada para ser cafetera. El caf\u00e9 es un cultivo ideal para su geograf\u00eda.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Una sociedad cafetera<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El contexto social colombiano tambi\u00e9n favoreci\u00f3 la popularizaci\u00f3n de la caficultura. Mientras que en otros pa\u00edses cafeteros, los cultivos se concentraron en manos de grandes  hacendados. En Colombia, por su parte, el caf\u00e9 se cultiv\u00f3 principalmente en peque\u00f1as fincas familiares.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al no convertirse en un producto de unos pocos, sino en el sustento de cientos de miles de familias y sus generaciones venideras. Los hijos aprend\u00edan a sembrar, las cosechas marcaban el calendario, de repente la familia se organizaba en torno al caf\u00e9 y as\u00ed pas\u00f3 de ser un producto agr\u00edcola para volverse una forma de vivir.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoy en d\u00eda, Buencaf\u00e9 pertenece a m\u00e1s de 556.000 familias caficultoras de todos los rincones del pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Impulso institucional<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Muchos pa\u00edses producen caf\u00e9, pero pocos construyeron instituciones alrededor del caf\u00e9. La creaci\u00f3n de la Federaci\u00f3n Nacional de Cafeteros en 1927 permiti\u00f3 organizar a los productores, mejorar la calidad, abrir mercados y construir una marca pa\u00eds alrededor del caf\u00e9 colombiano.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gracias al esfuerzo que por muchos a\u00f1os la FNC hizo para posicionar el nombre del mejor caf\u00e9 del mundo y que este fuera reconocido como tal a nivel internacional, Colombia dej\u00f3 de exportar caf\u00e9, para exportar una historia, un discurso.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La posterior creaci\u00f3n del sello Caf\u00e9 de Colombia tambi\u00e9n hizo lo suyo. Ahora Colombia, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de sentirse un pa\u00eds que produce caf\u00e9, se autopercibe orgullosamente como un pa\u00eds cafetero.<\/span><\/p><p><b>La cultura cafetera<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La popularidad del caf\u00e9 colombiano se vio amplificada por los productos culturales. El caf\u00e9 empez\u00f3 a aparecer en canciones, literatura, pintura, publicidad, televisi\u00f3n, turismo, arquitectura, gastronom\u00eda. Las fincas y el paisaje cafetero se volvieron patrimonio y poco a poco, esta narrativa, se proyect\u00f3 con fuerza hacia el exterior.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoy el caf\u00e9 hace parte del ritual matutino de much\u00edsimos colombianos y simboliza los valores de un pa\u00eds entero. Por eso, cuando una marca utiliza caf\u00e9 100% colombiano, no solo incorpora un ingrediente reconocido por su calidad. Tambi\u00e9n lleva consigo una historia construida durante m\u00e1s de un siglo por cientos de miles de familias cafeteras, una tradici\u00f3n que convirti\u00f3 a una bebida cotidiana en uno de los s\u00edmbolos m\u00e1s representativos de la colombianidad.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
