Buencafé keeps reaching the Asian market, this time at the 2018 Hotelex Exhibition

For many years Buencafé and the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) have been reaching the Asian market with 100% Colombian coffee products. For this reason, they will be present at the 2018 Hotelex Exhibition, one of the world’s most important in the hotel and catering industry, where coffee has gained important ground. This year Hotelex will be held in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, from March 26 to 29.

The host this time is Jiahang Wu, representative of Buencafé Liofilizado de Colombia in the region known as Greater China and responsible for opening up markets in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. “Taking part in this expo is very important to Buencafé, because it’s a great opportunity for the Asian market to know the freeze-dried coffee product portfolio. Hotelex 2018 brings together all companies of the coffee industry and all potential customers will be there,” Jiahang said.

For the last four years, the FNC has been sponsoring the Barista Championship held within the framework of Hotelex. “Some time ago, this expo was rather focused on hospitality and decoration services specifically, but thanks to the Barista Championship increasingly more people relating to the coffee industry arrive. Before there was half a pavilion dedicated to this drink, and now there are two pavilions and a half, confirming the growing commercial importance of coffee in Asia,” Jiahang noted.

This time Buencafé will have a two-floor booth. On the first floor, there will be an open bar that will feature preparations of cold, hot, and combined freeze-dried coffee drinks, showing the public in general the diversity of uses of this type of coffee. In addition, innovative products will be presented, like the micro-ground coffee, as well as new applications that enrich the Buencafé differentiated portfolio. On the second floor there will be a more private space to host appointments with potential customers.

“In previous participations in the exhibition we have shown different products and services of Buencafé and the FNC. On some occasions we focused on highlighting our own brands, and other times we showed uses of freeze-dried coffee in the industry. The fact that our products are multi-purpose has enabled us to show the Chinese market an innovative and differentiated portfolio. We have had customers who went to Hotelex in search of hospitality supplies and ended up contacting us to be able to offer freeze-dried coffee in their hotels,” the Buencafé representative in China said.

“All our customers and stakeholders are welcomed at Hotelex 2018, where we will show all the products and uses of our freeze-dried coffee. It is worth highlighting that Buencafé is one of the few Latin American companies with a representation office in Asia, which enables us to offer our customers in this part of the world full-time service and advice to develop their projects,” Jiahang concluded.
