Buencafé increases its offer of differentiated products to the Colombian market
From June 5 to 8, in Bogotá, Buencafé took part in Alimentec, the leading Colombian fair in the food, hospitality, restaurant and coffee shop industries in the Andean region, the Caribbean and Latin America. This version featured 449 exhibitors from 30 countries and received over 28,000 visitors.
For Buencafé, this fair was of vital importance to show the benefits and versatility of its entire product portfolio. “We were able to explain that Buencafé provides much more than coffee, that our products have different applications, and that we provide solutions to different market types,” said Sebastián Puentes, from Buencafé.
This time, the commercial objectives at Alimentec were to showcase Buencafé in the national market as a supply option, to contact potential customers to open up business opportunities, and promote the new 900-gr presentation of concentrated coffee extract, which previously was commercialized only in industrial size of 18 kilograms.

“This new concentrated coffee extract presentation is more practical and of easier transport and use for smaller producers, as they can dose extract according to their needs and store it more easily. In addition, this new presentation gives us greater reach, since we were missing potential customers that we can start to provide with coffee,” Puentes added.
The Buencafé stand at the Alimentec Fair exhibited and sold the company’s own coffee brand, Buendía, and hot and cold coffee (frappé) tastings were offered, so that visitors could confirm the flavor and aroma quality of the Buencafé freeze-dried soluble coffee, made with 100% Colombian coffee.
In July, Buencafé will be present at Expo Eje Café, and at the end of the year, it will participate in Expo La Barra, Cotelco and Cafés de Colombia Expo, all of these national fairs and exhibitions where the company expects to continue opening up market opportunities with versatile and differentiated products.
